Claire & Sam's Wedding

Here is a small selection of reportage wedding photographs of Claire and Sam's wedding in Rutland.

The happy couple chose the beautiful church of St. Peter and St, Paul in Exton, near Oakham for the wedding ceremony.   The then went back to the excellent Rutland wedding venue Bansdale Lodge Hotel for a drinks reception and the wedding breakfast.  The wedding flowers were supplied by Alison of Uppingham Florist Blossom.   Claire and Sam were so lucky with the weather as rain had been forecast, but it was dry all day (if a little windy at times) with plenty of sunshine.

Claire had a slight wardrobe malfunction moment as her garter slid off her leg while she was walking up the church path with her dad.  It made for a very light-heated moment as it enable everyone to relax before the ceremony.

After three excellent and witty speeches and the cutting of the wedding cake using the grooms' father's naval sword, and dancing most of the first dance, Sam showed off his hidden talent by leaving Claire, only  to sit at a piano and to serenade his new bride  The  guests then joined  them to dance along to the fabulous four-piece pop/rock band Penfold (who can be booked via Function Central).  They played everything from Elvis and the Beatles right through to current chart music.  Matt Walters, the band's keyboard player is also a sound engineer (Quince Studios), which explains why the sound matched the high-quality of the musicians.

The day went with such a swing as the couple and their guests were such fun to be around that the whole day really sparkled.  I love my job on days like this!
